Rain among the Italian excellence featured in the USA mission by Intesa Sanpaolo and Innovit

25 September 2025

Milan, 25 September 2025 – Rain is proud to have taken part in the business mission organised by Intesa Sanpaolo and Innovit in Silicon Valley, which brought together 12 Italian SMEs selected for their innovative potential and their ability to represent the best of Made in Italy overseas.

The initiative, held in San Francisco, offered participating companies an intensive programme of training, mentoring and networking with prestigious universities such as Berkeley and Stanford, investors, and major American tech companies. A unique opportunity to explore new growth and internationalisation prospects in the cradle of global digital innovation.

Rain was selected as part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s Imprese Vincenti programme, which since 2019 has supported over 650 Italian companies in their development journey. The 12 outstanding companies hosted in San Francisco, with an average of 150 employees and €40 million in annual turnover, took part in 69 B2B meetings, 30 training sessions and 4 external visits to leading Silicon Valley organisations.

Anna Stiatti, President of Rain, stated:

Being chosen to represent Italian excellence in Silicon Valley is a great source of pride for our company. This opportunity allowed us to connect with top-tier organisations and strengthen our strategic vision focused on innovation and internationalisation. We had the chance to engage with international experts on topics such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, and digital transformation. It was a valuable moment to reflect on the future of our industry and on the opportunities the American market can offer a company like Rain.

During the interview session, when asked whether the user-centric design approach rooted in the United States may have paved the way for the European homeowner-centric model adopted by Rain, Stiatti replied:

If the American goal is well-being and financial protection, the European one leads to the same result, even though at Rain our focus is on creating sustainable products – such as our patented Turbina Vision, capable of recharging irrigation control units by harnessing the energy of the water flowing through the system itself. This does not conflict with the more economically driven U.S. mindset, as we have amply demonstrated that it is possible to achieve environmental goals by using clean energy while also saving time and preserving funds.

On the homeowner-centric approach in relation to the professional irrigation sector, Costanza, Brand Ambassador of Rain, added:

It is essential to develop solutions around the customer’s needs – quick and easy to install, intuitive, and capable of saving multiple resources at once: certainly water, but also time and, therefore, budget.

Rain extends its thanks to Intesa Sanpaolo, Innovit, and all the institutions and companies involved for making this inspiring experience possible, marking an important step in the company’s global expansion journey.

San Francisco welcomed us with enthusiasm and curiosity,” – concludes Costanza. “We had the opportunity to share our family brand, our values, and our creative approach with international stakeholders, opening up new prospects for collaboration and mutual growth.
