Choosing sustainable, high-quality irrigation products is no longer optional – it is a statement of intent. Now more than ever, it is essential to rely on solutions that combine reliable materials, high performance, and environmental respect. This is the foundation for durable, efficient systems that are friendly to the planet. Too often, it is underestimated how much the quality of the materials used can affect the functioning and the environmental impact of the whole irrigation system.
In the irrigation sector, there is a growing demand for environmentally friendly, high-performance solutions. Professionals are increasingly selective, choosing products that last, work efficiently and minimize environmental impact.
There are products on the market that appear to be convenient, but when tested, turn out to be real failures: components that break, leaky systems, inefficient watering. In short, a lot of damage, a lot of maintenance, and a lot of waste.
Choosing low-quality products is not only a technical mistake, but also an environmental one:
Let’s add excessive water consumption due to leaks or malfunctions, and… disaster is served!
Unfortunately, not all manufacturers make conscious choices at the planning stage. And that is where we come in, with an approach that leaves no room for improvisation.
What makes the difference in our work is undoubtedly the quality of the raw material we use.In addition, much of our production is highly automated, thanks to ongoing investment in robotic machinery. This means repeatable, consistent, and precise processes. The result? A low error rate and a quality that is noticeable from the first use.
Trust is good, but checking is better. We are the only Italian manufacturer that tests 100% of its solenoid valves before they are released to the market. Yes, you read that right: every single valve is tested, one by one. We perform air tests for the smaller ones, water tests for the large and small ones, and generally check the leakage, flow rate, functionality and performance of each one.
And not only that: smart Vision controllers are individually tested in our in-house electronic department, while CERT valve boxes are subjected to rigorous and timely testing in accordance with UNI EN124-6 norms.
Why limit ourselves to the classic “waste reuse”, a practice that has become commonplace, when we can go further? In fact, we use certified recycled plastic for our valve boxes: a material that ensures a constant, controlled, and reliable supply chain, from collection to granule formulation, with consistently high-quality standards.
While many companies simply track products by batch, Rain has decided to go the extra mile: solenoid valves and electronic elements are tracked individually to ensure maximum efficiency in customer service.
When choosing an irrigation product, ask yourself: Is it regularly tested? Does the manufacturer use recycled or certified materials? Is it the result of precise, tracked production?
If the answer is no… it may be time to change provider.
